Get a new block, stroke and bore it to 327 cubic inches and put her back in.

I wish I had the V-8 in, 5.0L EFI, long rod, waiting in the back corner.

new block is already built up. 306 with all forged internals. Ported heads and port matched intake. Aught to run alright. May tune it for 24lb injectors just to see. Also slapped some 1.7 rocker arms on it

OK nice one.
Watch the injector size and it should be dependent on your Throttle Body size.
What cam did you put in, hopefully not the 303 Stang cam, there are so many so much better.
Make sure to get an EFI Cam, lobe separation is different on the EFI versus a carb’d cam.

I never liked the 1.7 Rocker Arms, if/when you buy a cam you can get all of the lift you need designed in the cam lobes.
My cam is a short duration around 268, I think , will have to look that up, and the lift is 510 and 512 @ .050 lift.
Hopefully this will let the engine breath better and produce not only more low end torque but more higher end HP.
I know almost the same thing as adding the higher ratio rockers but when you buy the cam kit and all of the parts as a kit you get everything machined to work together.

Just me, good luck on the new engine.
Is there a build thread on this ?

The Steppie Rear Bumper Prototype Project is almost completed.

Thinking on the painting process… what to do.

I wanted Line-X but not too sure, painting is easier and can be repaired easier.

Maybe paint it first then Line-X later on.

How’s everyone doing on the site.

Everyone working ?

bought another old homelite for the collection at a swapmeet today, it's MINT :) also got a CB for the truck for $5, came with a noise canceler thingy and an aux speaker, the guy also threw in a bearcat 210 police scanner for free :D plus sold a ton of junk, and a vespa!

got my new CB installed, sounds pretty good :)

Alway good to have some communications in the vehicle.

Make make of radio ?

Put on a new pair for silicon wipers by Rainex (sp).
Last set lasted about five years and hope the new ones will get me close to that.
What a difference, smooth, quite wipes.

might have to get myself some of those wiper blades.....

make of the radio is a Realistic (older model), which i got at the swapmeet for $5. came with an external speaker and an in-line noise filter, along with controls for RF gain and Tone, which my little cobra 19 lacked. i still need to tune my antenna but the new radio made a helluva differance.
