Rough idle

Here lately my truck has been idling rough but drives fine. It gave me the evap code p1443. I replaced the fuel filter but it didn't help. Besides the idle, it takes 2 or 3 try's to start but only if its been off for a short time. Starts fine when the engine is cold. And 1 more thing, a few times I have filled up and it keeps cutting the pump off like its full when its not full. Its only done that a few times. All started around same time but not sure if its all related. So I'm confused.

Is there a silver cylinder part on top of engine that has a two wire plug going into it, and has two bolts holding it on. I froget what it's called, but I had same problem my my auto parts guy gave me a new one I put it on (very easy) fixed rough idle. Maybe some one out there knowes the name of the part, if you cant figure out this, I'll get part name and re-post.
