It was warm enough here I actually wore shorts and detailed my truck. Hasnt had a good detail since last fall, and unfortunately I found a bunch of rust spots on the cab and bottom of the doors...fml

Nice looking 98.

Yesterday
Mounted the new bumper brackets.
Started to rain.
Went inside and watched Power Block.

Today’s Plan
Make sure the brackets are secure and try another run on the bumper fitment.

h… and Happy Mother’s day to all you MOTHAS !

I attempted to find out why I get a puddle on my passenger floor almost everytime it rains. I heard of the wiper cowl being blocked. I pulled off the fender and the inner fender and saw if i can find anything. the very bottom of the inner fender was caked with dirt. so I cleaned that out. and then I took advantage of the fact that my fender was off so i re wired my OHC through the firewall and through the fender just for a cleaner look

My truck went from this:

To This:

Because I need to repair this damage:

Surprisingly, other than one spot, the inner fenders and everything else in the area is in great shape given the age. Can't figure out why just this panel has rotted away.

Everyone else makes these threads, I thought having one thread for sharing work, stories, updates or anything random could go here instead of starting multiple new threads.

My truck had a good day so far, I went out this morning and she started. I drove her and nothing exciting happened, except I had to use my windshield wipers once because of some sprinklers. :furious:

When I got to school, there were like 8 rangers all parked next to each other!! I couldn't help myself, I parked next to them and took like 43 pics, I'm uploading them now and I'll start another thread with those pics

I'm now sitting in the computer lab at school counting down the seconds till I can be reunited with my baby :thumbsup::thumbup1:

I'm picking up some new seats this after noon that I've got to build new mounts for, kind of excited not to kill my lower back anymore
Well, not today exactly, but I recently changed out the radiator on my truck.
Had a 3" crack on one side.
I changed out the hoses while I was at it and then started on a 2-3 week odyssey of trying to figure out how to get the air out of my cooling system.

Drive my 02' 150 miles to work, loaded it down with roughly 400lbs of steel. Waiting for the work day to end so I can drive her the 150 miles back home. Man I love this truck!!

Hmmm... doesn't look like anybody is working on their trucks lately! This wasn't actually today... more like two weeks ago. Anyway, here is a pick of the last two mods I did to my 2003 Edge. I will see if anyone can identify the mods... :)

Chrome tips! ...spiffy.
Seriously, I'd have to see a before of your truck to know what you did.
Nice truck, though. Definitely a "Cruise night" wagon. -b

LOL The chrome tips was the last mod, did that Monday evening. Got tired of the side exit and the fact that I couldn't keep paint on it... it always looked bad. The picture actually shows several mods, but the other recent one is the parking assist (reverse) sensors. Thanks for the compliment! Yes, it is a "Cruise Night" machine for sure. Members on the other Ranger forums don't care much for it because it is more of a "gentleman's ride". I tend to lean toward creature comforts and luxury items rather than horsepower and such. But that is what is great about the Ranger as a platform... you can make it anything you want! :)

You're welcome. The only thing that truck appears to be missing is Daisy Duke, wearin' her Daisy Dukes! =D
