Just got dropped off today. UWS black diamond plate low-profile. I like it a lot and it seems very well built.

  6. ok, wait a minute. DO you have it sitting on something at the ends. I just noticed that, it should be a low profile box? or is that part of the headache rack maybe ?

looks good, way better than my bedlined box.

looks like it's sitting on the rails of his back-rack

yeah its sitting on the "toolbox" arms that anchor the headache rack. The short anchors that come standard only reach a quarter of the way so they make those ones specific for a toolbox setup.

    thanks!

thank you. nope never had a tonneau

haha appreciate the comment considering how sick your truck is

i saw yours in your intro post! i like it. i have an old box and you got me thinkin of maybe doin it on that one for my brother and his ranger

honestly man, i'm bummed with the results. i prepped it really well, but it chips (albeit minor chips.) i used roll on duplicolor, i don't know if it isn't as quality or i didn't prep right, but it kinda sucks haha. plus, the texture of bedliner makes it tough to clean, IMO

  14. Quick question.... Can I have your truck? lol

would something like a self-etching primer help to keep it on at all? i know i did my bed with stuff called Durabak. it's kinda expensive, but well worth it IMO. i've done 2 of my trucks in it now and love it. the cool thing about their product is you can order it with the rubber granules or without

haha thanks for the compliment Pete. it still has a long way to go though, but that's why i love this site. i get a ton of ideas from you guys and what you've done to your trucks

i scuffed it really well and got all the clear off it, probably more so than a self etching primer would. i think i should have used some kind of adhesion promoter.
