Loudest muffler out there?

now Pete, you do know you can ruin a valve running without a muffler right?

I had an old 67 chevy impala with a 350 ran it for a few months without muffer or tailpipe basically straight open header per say, sucked a valve with in those 3 months

That's probably because there were no cats on that car. But if it happens, it happens. I would just get a new engine because this one howls like the wind in a pine barren.
 
i just have 2.5" straight pipe ..... i absolutely hate it!!! its dumped right beneath the cab/bed and drones so bad
 
then I wouldnt recommend anything louder then the Flowmaster 40 (so no straight pipes and no Flowmaster 10 ;) )
 
lol I gotcha bud. There's a buddy of mine running a 78truck Scottsdale with dual 18" glasspacks. That mother's louder than a diesel with no exhaust haha
 
I ran my El Camino with dual straights for a year with no problems lol. Cops didnt say a word lol. Small town.

I wanna hear a Ranger without cats and a super 10. I want mine to sound like a v8 lol

I want mine to sound like a V-8 but that'll only happen when my 4L is toast and a either the 4.6L or the new 5L coyote makes its way in my truck. Till then I'll put a reasonable sounding exhaust on my truck.
 
Super 44 hands down. Any other muffler that's "louder" will sound ricey as hell. If you wanna go that route, be my guest, but please do it on a Chevy, so the ford guys dont get criticized.
 
Brad, that Chevy would eat your truck. Hahaha. Freemans00's 40 series sounds flat out mean. I wanna know if it is the original 40 or the delta flow... But I'm not gonna bother him for a while. Poor kid's been running for 30 hours straight.
