OK so you wanted something to do? here's my list:

1. Dude I bought the pickup from said that he had a seal go out on the xfer case, we have kept it up fluid wise but it makes this tinking sound as you drive the truck, its a constant, rhythmic t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t metallic clinking or tinking, I say tink, because, well, that's what it sounds like. The truck does NOT make this noise in 4hi or 4lo, just in 2wd. The truck did NOT make this noise when I test drove it, and it showed up about 2 months later.

2. Anybody have issues with water getting inside the door? If we drive through rain and spray alot up, the passenger side door fills up with water. it eventually drips out if we park it rear facing downhill, and its only the passenger side.

3. Point me in the direction of a DIY to take apart the dash and replace the bulb behind the tach?

4. Also having issues with fueling, you have to fill it very very slow, or hold the nozzle at a crazy angle and just barely in the hole, and it still shuts off too soon, but this way you get a couple gallons in at a time. Any ideas here?

I think this place looks like a great forum, I am a little disappointed in the amount of activity... Course it is prime time for folks to be outside enjoying their vehicles and not inside on the computer...:thumbsup:
 
Sounds like a bad bearing in the t-case imho.

As for the door, replace the seals around it.

Mine does the same thing while fueling up. I just keep it at that extreme angle and it fills it right up.
 
When filling up hold the pump upside down. When I worked at a gas station for some reason a few cars had that problem.
 
#2 yes seals will help, make sure you check them. BUT there are also holes under and to the sides of your sill plates to allow water to run out but it can also get in sometimes. Lay under you truck by the doors, under the rockers. The rockers are hollow and sometime will retain mud and other junk there. The holes by your sill plates allow water to drain to those rockers where they will flow out through the open panels on the underside. I recently took my truck mudding, and you should have seen the mud that got inside on the sills! It's common, but double check the seals and if needed use some seal adhesive on it.

I am trying to do up a bulb replacement for the forum. I will get some pics together and pm you. Its very simple though!

Check the vent hose on the filler tube to see if its pinched or something. It sounds like the air eaxchange is off when you pump in the fuel
 
Well, now that I get a good listen, I think the tinking is coming from the backside of the truck, and therefore more likely the differential area? Obviously not the xfer case... Ideas??

When you take your gas cap off, righ above the filler hole is a small vent hole. Take a look under the truck, you will see the rubber fill hose, above that is a small rubber hose running right with the filler hose. That small hose is the vent hose
 
As silly as you were being, the image I get in my head of what could be making the noise looks a lot llike 14... If I had to pick anything that COULD make the noise I hear. Hmm..

My doors tend to collect some water too... I've cleaned the drain holes a million times with no luck. Some of my seals are gone & I never got around to getting any more, so I just drilled a couple more little drain holes.

I still have water dripping out of my doors especially when I first open the doors. :cry:
 
Also for the ticking noise, Can you pin point it to the rear? I recently had the same problem on the front end, Turns out the people at Sears Auto put a sticky weight on the outer part of the rim, hitting the caliper
