So I hopped in my truck the other day to make a little road trip. I live in Ft Myers Florida and took a drive up to Tampa ( aprox 3 hrs apart) to go see Big & Rich in concert. Anyway, my truck is a 98 single cab, long bed, 2wd, 3.0 with quite a few extra goodies along with a maintainance schedule that would make some porsche owners jeleous. I average about 225 to 250 miles per tank in town because I generally have a heavier foot in town to get around all the old farts and show off from time to time:whistling: I filled up at home and got on the interstate and ran between 75 and 80 mph while cruising, and possibly passed a line of tractor trailers doing in excess of 100 mph just for a short burst of passing but then returned to normal crusing again. After 6 hours of interstate driving and 2 hours of city stop and go ROUND TRIP, I returned home with 1/4 of a tank to spare and 328 miles on my trip odometer meaning that I averaged........ 20 MPG out of my truck:clap::clap::clap: I made all my calculatons, had my friend who was with me in the truck double check my math, and even called one more friend to make sure what I had just achieved was correct.
So here is my question, who else is getting the good mpg's out of their ranger? Paricularlly want to hear from the Vulcan crew......
