today while i was driving the truck home i was accelerating slowly to about 25% that i could go. but my engine acted like i had stomped the pedal into the floor. i heard the engine rev up like crazy i dont have a tach so i couldnt tell exact rpms but it sounded really high. could it be my throttle plate? this is the first time its happened.

is that something to do with the throttle plate? i might have put my foot down further than taken it off right away. my engine does take a while to respond if i put my foot down like when accelerating onto a on ramp for a highway.
