Starting Problems on 2006 Ford Ranger

I am having problems starting my Ranger. It will start if it's towed a short distance but wont start on the key. I have fitted a new ignition switch but that has made no difference. Has anybody got any suggestions as to what else I can try? The battery is in good condition. Thanks

I have a 2006 also. I have found if the starter does not turn the engine over fast enough... it will not start. Could be a starter problem or a bad connection in the wiring !
