Ranger T6

Hope not

Looks like an import. The reason I buy American cars is because I prefer the aesthetic. When American trucks start to look like Japanese trucks, and are built overseas, I'm not sure there are any compelling reasons to continue to "Buy American".

I'd rather spend $25K on a nicely restored '66-'77 Bronco. The Auto industry should look at the economic downturn (this is not a recession, it's a permanent correction) and seize the opportunity to make cars and trucks that people can work on again. I don't want to hook up a computer and remove my intake manifold to replace a spark plug.

They should go back to basics and stop designing cars/trucks to drive business to their dealerships' service departments.

Amen! I agree man. Cars/Trucks have gotten so complicated it is a little ridiculous. It seems like dealerships are more interested in getting you into their service departments than anything else. And those are usually big rip offs.

I don't know man. It's always hard to figure out what the truck is gonna look like with all the tape and stuff on it. I think it could still look good once you take some of that stuff off of it!

Well, you got to figure that the Ranger or the Ford f100, or whatever they call it, is gonna look something like the F150. That's what would make sense, IMHO. I like the F150, so maybe this one will turn out nicely.

Drop a logo on the grill

Agreed, the final product could look like anything.

But this thing just looks like a Toyota.

Haha... Anyone else notice that this truck is smoking like a freight train? I mean, I know diesels smoke, but its usually black. That is more of a blue smoke. WTF?

im not real crazy about it but thats also the same thing i said about the 09 f150 when pictures of them first started coming out,...andwhy hating on the toyota trucks iv seen some tacomas that were awesome trucks and they now have the largest production 4cyl (2.7l i believe it is) and they're decent looking trucks (but im slightly biased because my stepdad drives an 09 tacoma std cab 4cyl 5spd and its a purdy quick lil truck and has the most room iv seen in a std cab mini truck and i wouldnt mind finding a 4wd or prerunner ext cab with a 5spd)

I think it always takes time for the new designs to grow on a person. I'm starting to like the new F150s but at first wasn't so sure about them.

Sorry if it wasn't clear from the thread (the photo had already been posted with the logo blacked out) but, I added the Toyota logo to make my point.

It is not a Toyota truck.
