P1000 Wont Go Away

Hey guys. My check engine light is on and reading P1000. My computer tells me P1000 is "Sytems check incomplete". My brother-in-law (who is a mechanic) told me i need to drive like 62 miles for the computer to do a full cycle and reset itself. I used the computer to turn off the light and drove like 80 miles straight. The light stayed off for the next three times I started the truck but came back as I was driving. I ran it again and it was the same code. I deleted all stored codes so I know it is only this code. Any ideas how to get rid of this?
 
It is VERY difficult to fulfill that 14 step cycle,my gosh who could ever get that done, such specific speeds,my p1000 still hasn't "cleared"! I have 08 ranger xlt 4.0L with 140k auto trans. It doesn't turn on any check engine light though and that is the ONLY DTC, that will not clear in the TCM after checking for parasitic draw, battery became disconnected for quite some time, anyway any other tips to get that cycle completed would be appreciated, thanks ahead, SM.
