Not going to guys. It's the hard truth. I want to go work hard for my money
school is not for everyone
Thats rite, skool is for chumps!
My buddy's dad is a welder, Freemans00 can vouch for me on this. He has a degree in welding and just turned down a $40/hour job with the local power company building another Nuke plant. I might go for that, automotive technician, something maybe along those lines, Idk yet. I need time to think. I'm only 18 now, and have years ahead of me yet. So I have more than enough time to go back and do something. I just need to get out there and make some money so I can have my truck fixed and live a happy and fulfilling life. I like to be able to make things and be able to call it my own, and be proud of it. That's why I love landscaping. I can see it whenever I want, and can say to myself and others, "I did that", or "I helped create that". Know what I mean? I know you guys are trying to help me out by this, but this is the path I want to take. This is one of those times where I have to choose between two paths, and find out what lies ahead.I went to a 2 year trade /tech school. Major appliance technician no college cause it was not right for me, but then I graduated in 1981 and started my own business as everyone has appliances. So it worked out well for me, I also did some work at McDonnell Douglas, but that was before they wanted degrees . I just hope you dont take it wrong, people here are only wanting to see you advance Pete and if college is not for you then do a tech/trade school , hell certified welders out here are making 25.00 per hour plus, and a friend of mine is a school bus mechanic working for a school district , started pay for him was around 50 k per year . so there are other choices, school is not for everyone
