I don't know if $40 is expensive, but I paid $30 for them at the junkyard, and spent a cold freezing snowy day pulling them, lol alot of work.
I have seen some sell them for $40, even some for $20, but I don't know what they paid for them at their junkyard.

some yards charge an are and i leg, like you going to your yard getting roof rack for 25 when i paid 50 at my yard.
