First off, ive searched and searched and searched, and couldn't find anything specific to what im experiencing. But anyways, its an 01 Ranger, 2.5L. Theres a ticking sound coming from the motor, only when its up to running temp, and only at a certain throttle position. its a pretty persistent ticking, and gets faster with the rpms. It does it at about 1/4 throttle, but is at its worst at high rpms and highway speeds. from what ive read, it kind of sounds like spark knock or a worn rocker. There are absolutley no other problems with the truck, runs amazing, no lack of power or anything. I just dont want something screwing up on me when I least expect it. But more than anything, it annoys the **** outta me :/ Somebody give me some input here please!
