my manual tranny 4x4 has 2 fluids??

Well men i got a tranny to put in my 87 i got both trucks recently tranny match so were swapping good for bad one...question y does one have tranny fluid and gear oil in it 2 seperate places and where do i fill these levels from after i drain them
 
Well the dealer said my tranny and transfer case even tho manual should both use atf mercon v ........doesnt soumd right to me heavy vearoil came out of t case thats what im concerned about
