More mods to the truck!

Alright. Deal of a lifetime happened to me today! Went down to Bloomsburg (about 45 minutes from my house) and picked me up a good shape hard A.R.E. tonneau cover for $50! The guy said he paid $675 for it when he first bought it back in 2000 I believe... There's a few things wrong with it, like the paint bubbled from the side sitting on the ground, few knicks and scratches, and dirty on the underside. Also, the right side lift support was seized up, and tonight I accidentally ripped it off the underside when opening it... lol Looks like I'm gonna have to rig it to stay attached, or go to a dealer and get a new support. Either way, it's gonna work. I'll post pics up tomorrow when I can get on a computer because it's easier.

Now, onto my second item. I met up with Scott5640 down past Allentown the other day at a local farmer's market. While there, I got his skid plate off of him for a good deal of $20. Now it ain't nothing bomb proof, but it'll save my rad and trans lines in the woods. Pics pending for tomorrow as well.

Now, onto my third item. NEW TIRES! Baby's getting a new pair of shoes! Definity Dakota M/Ts from my Dakota. They're gettting mounted tomorrow, and then I'll be testing them and the skid plate out lol Gonna be a fun day!

So, took the tires out for a test today, and let's just leave it at the mud was over the tires, and they didn't make it through... They're better for hills than mud. So I went and got myself buried in a mud hole, and luckily my dad brought his truck so he could pull me out. After two broken straps and a stretched chain, I finally got out... Yeah, 31" tires, and the mud was halfway up my doors. Needless to say, I'm going to have the diff oil changed, and stay out of the deep mud. Today made me just think to myself how much work it actually takes to keep a truck running, and it kinda makes me wanna stray away from three foot deep mud holes.

Hahahahahahahaha. Don't be surprised buddy. She's been holding up real nicely, aside from the leaking pinion seal again.

lol..eatin your own words there

What? lol It was just like, "I don't really feel like doing this anymore". One of those types of things. I'll be in the mud more, but just not as deep hopefully.

Okay, found a few pics from Facebook. Nothing good, but decent.
I couldn't pass up that tonneau cover.
