Member suggestions?

Hey guys, just reaching out and seeing if any members have any kind of suggestions/recommendations for the site. We have a handful of new members, so I would like to hear from you guys as well.

I am looking for any kind of input in regards to contests, forum topics, or anything else. There are some things I can do, however please keep in mind the owners Jon and Nathan will have the ultimate say in changes, but I can speak to them about your suggestions. Also the site colors, backgrounds will remain the same, so any suggestions on those topics are things we can not change. If there are things you would like to ask that you are unsure of putting it in this thread, shoot me an email.

I ask that you please keep it clean, no debating on the open forum and I will do my best to hear you all and speak to the owners on suggestions that will make this a better forum for all.
 
Is it possible to change the post limitation from 30 seconds to perhaps like 10 seconds and the same thing with messages? Just a suggestion.
 
No problem... and thanks for the suggestion Andy. It was a stupid mistake that I had it set that way in the first place.
 
i would really like bigger avatars. it is so hard to see details in the pics when so small.
 
Before hand I had trouble uploading pics up to either albums or garage because it said the files were too big (I was using standard pics directly from my camera) so I had to resize all my pics, its a big inconvenice, is it possible to change that as well.

I really appreciate the work put into this forum. Thank you :)
 
rango, get a photobucket account, and upload your pictures there then copy paste the code here.

I doubt they will increase the size (unless its crazy small) as it will take a lot of room up on their servers if they let people upload huge images.



As for a suggestion, I have one. As of right now there is now specific place for videos. So most people just throw them in the general discussion.

there is a Ranger Photography section, What if that was changed to "Ranger Media" instead. That way pictures, as well as video could be in that section.

Is there a way to change the ".img" import ?
When you copy the Img code from PhotoBucket and paste it to the Img Import Block, you click ok and you get the image and on both sides of the picture you get "img" .

Not that this is a problem but just was wondering if can be changed the accept the img code as is ?
 
I know one of the problem is that we had (I just changed it) and option to upload 4 images at a time. The site can handle one larger photo upload usually... but if you start doing a lot at once it tends to get choked up. Let's see if this adjustment helps.

I'd recommend hosting photos in a system like http://imgur.com though and embedding it using the easy link they provide. That may be the best solution really.

I think that's because Photobucket is already adding the tags you need and when you use the image box on the site it adds a second set. If you copy the fourm link provided by Photobucket you can probably just past it directly into the text box. At least that's how it works with imgur (which I highly recommend).

Yes but I thought the site wanted the pics imported to the site !?

Not too sure about "imgur" but I just wanted to get the pics on the site so I will attempt a direct to text box to eliminate a few key strokes.
