Line-X or Rhino Bedliners?

I was doing some research and overall the consensus is that Line x is the better product, just curious as to who has these in there trucks and their overall experience between the 2?
 
Line-x is far better,
Rhino liner is "soft" if that makes sense. and it will tear and chunk up super easy with anything heavy or sharp in the bed.

definitely go with line-x

thanks thats what I was going for. Plus I read that Rhino is a lot more slippery then line-x. Does one have to wait for it to dry or anything?
 
i think my dads dodge has a line-x in it and its damn slippery and feels like sandpaper lol but it hasnt chipped off. i like the softer ones, they do gouge like said but its nice when stuff isnt sliding everywhere lol. id see if you can go to different places and check out some samples?
 
Rhinos I be more grippy, but it's so not worth it if you avtually use your bed. It will look like garbage and do nothing to protect the bed once it tears and gouges back to the metal. Will have to get all the old stuff ripped up to put a new coat on.

Expensive.

Best bet if you don't want "slippery" (I don't find line x slippery at all) is to do the line x then throw a bedmat in. To provide grip.
 
Got line-x with UV coating in my Sierra.

This is yesterday, pallet is close to 2k lbs

Pallets have been dragged across it, metal tubing/plate/etc. slid in and out, leaking rear axles dripped all over, motor oil, and more. It's only a few months old, but a pressure washer gets it looking like new again. Zero complaints, best investment I have made.

Is there no concern for denting the bed since the material is almost directly on the steel? ( i'm merely asking due to inexperience)

Also what was the approx cost of the job being done? I hear its about $500-625 range depending on the dealers and bedsize.
 
had rhino liner in my ranger...was dissapointed...F150 will be getting line-xed maybe...i have a rubber bed mat that works beautiful for what i need it for...dont have a single scratch in the bed of my truck

No dents so far, but that's mainly due to taking more care when loading things lol.

Mine cost 550, its a crew cab short bed, 5.5-6ft was their price range. They also had a $100 off coupon on the Line-X facebook that you can get for "liking" their page. It was on the main Line-X page, not a dealer's

I'd go the bed mat route (like I did with the ranger) but the bed is already scratched and it bothers me. I'll get it sprayed and then put a bed mat on there soon enough as well

cool, I'll have a look on that facebook page as well, I have a crew cab shortbox as well so at least that gives me an idea. Thanks :)

Not sure if you have the bed sprayed yet but I got line-X in my Ranger Steppie, the bed liner is really fine and looks good but the installer $ucked !
I used Line-X of Salem, MA and he was all “I am the Best”, this should have rang the bell but I didn’t want to travel any further than I had to and he had a decent but not the cheapest price.

I got it done while the bed was still off of the truck that may have been my problem but I got the bed sprayed, got it back to my shop, let it set for about a month before install and when I did the area around the bolts pushed up, like there was way too Much Line_X Material in the bolt recesses.

I don’t like it but not a big deal, I went back to the dealer, talked to him and he said he can take care of it. I left the truck, went to pick it up and it looked the same, huh, didn’t get to it yet. I asked about it and he said there was no way to get rid of the raised portion without damaging the whole thing. I told him how I thought it should be done and of course I was wrong, I didn’t know anything.

Oh ya, I wasn’t given a receipt yet either, I was told three times that it will be in the mail, another sign over looked.

So I contacted Line_X Corp, and was told I needed a receipt, can’t blame them but I am stuck with a damaged bed liner.

The rest of the liner is holding up great, and the Dealer in Salem has disappeared, Line-X Corp has not been able to do anything because of no receipt and I am stuck with it as is.

The Line-X Dealer in another Town, the one I didn’t want to travel to says to bring it down and he will see what can be done but it will cost to have it fixed.

To the original question… yes on Line-X, the look and the durability and I will have LIne-X done on my next truck but I will make sure through the Corporation as to the quality of the shop first.

Find your shop, contact the Better Business Bureau and Line-X Corporation for insight to the Shop.

Line-X of Salem is the wrong name for the business.
The correct name is “North Shore Line-X of Salem", MA.
I am now in a BBB inquiry with Line-X.

Some of these Shops are fly by night, a quick buck and disappear, if the shops in your area have been there for a while and have a good rep than they should be OK.

Good Luck on the project.
