I think that some "static" pages might help drive traffic - general information that new owners (like me) might look for... firing order, interchange years, what transmissions will work with what engines, fluid specs, maintenance intervals, how-tos for popular modifications...
You cited a Neon page? Really? Lol nah I get what you mean. The other thing is that there are many other forums around, and we all frequent several
I chose that beacause like the way that page is layed out... general info about the nameplate, and some of the differences between the generations, with links to specific info about each generation highlighting the differences between each year. Having (and frequently updating) these "static" pages and "how to" pages is what gets you search engine rank.
Damn what did you do now? Get caught pocketing a temp sensor for an ohc? Lol. Sorry had to say it. Sucks u can't leave pa though
Other sites may not appreciate that. I dont want to see you get in trouble. I made the mistake already lol...
I personally dont care, but I found it to be an unwritten rule on other forums, and yeah I found out the hard way but what are ya gonna do?! I think more problem solving threads would help here a little and definately more communication
I believe the reason this ranger site has few members is due to the fact that FRF, TRS and R-F are around. meaning, if you and everyone else go to Home depot for your "home repairs" and "jims home repair" opens up down the block, more new people are still going to go to "Home depot" because it is "bigger" has more members, which can give it that "This is a better site" type feel. and, most people are like sheep - they follow the heard. (more members = a better site to some) this is why TRS has nearly 40,000 members. basically, TRS is "Home Depot" FRF is "Menards" R-F is "your local true value" & this forum (which unfortunately has nearly the same name as Ford Ranger Forums, is like the tiny corner hardware store. If the owner of this site wants more members, my suggestion is to re name it something different. Like "Ranger Trucks.com" sorry for the long post.
