In this write up, you will learn how to replace your PCV valve on your 4.0 SOHC engine. This work was performed on a 2001 XLT.
    Step 1.

Locate your PCV valve behind the coil pack.

    Step 2.

Remove the 2 upper hose fasteners and slide the up the hose. You may need pliers to pinch them in order to move them

    Step 3.

Remove the large hose connected to the PCV

    Step 5.
    Twist the PCV valve out.

    Step 6.

Install in reverse order. I recommend attaching the smaller hoses first, as it is easier to move the hose fasteners.

Congratulations! You have just replaced your PCV valve!
