FS: RF.net Special 06+ Fender Badge Led Plate Mod (ky)

I like V2 better lol Let me make up my mind on what I'm doing with my **** heap and I'll let you know wwhat I'll do. I may get an earlier gen ranger.

Swapping from the classic to new badges isn't too hard. Not sure if the alignment pins are in the same places, but they can easily be snipped off with wire cutters.

I finally have ORANGE led's on order.... might be a couple weeks before they arrive though.

Update

I have decided that for my initial FIVE sets of these, I'm going to do an insane pricing deal.

This is a ONE TIME deal, open to the First FIVE Paid Pre-Orders.

I'm going to be posting this offer on two other Ranger sites as well & the offer stands for the first five paid pre-orders from either or any combination of the 3 sites.

Either style: Original (flush) or New (outline) for only $40.00 shipped in the USA.

That's priced per pair (two led plates) including my power supply/voltage regulator, foam tape applied to both sides & quick connectors to make the install as simple as possible.
Note that the fender badges are NOT included.

I'm currently working on making some blank panels so I can install the led's & have them ready to go as soon as I possibly can.

They'll still take a few days to make each set and I'm currently waiting on an order of ORANGE led's which should hopefully arrive in a few weeks.

Currently, I have Yellow, Red, White, Blue & a limited number of Green led's to use.

After the first FIVE sets have been spoken for, pricing WILL go up... so gather up some of that Christmas Cash you just got & grab a set before the First Five are gone.

I'll update the thread ASAP when the First Five have been spoken for.

Last of the "First Five" has been claimed.

Thanks again to everyone in taking part in this little experiment.

Some of the badges are already in process, some will take a little longer as I'm waiting on an order for my Orange led's. Don't worry, as soon as they're ready I'll let you know & get 'em sent out ASAP.

For everyone who is still interested in a set, don't be shy. As soon as I'm caught up with these I'll be doing more. :D

As you can tell, I even updated my homemade 06 fender badge

This is my first prototype & so far it came out even better than I hoped for.
It looks almost like neon around the badge!!

It's still in the prototype stages & I'd really like to find an old/used/scratched 06 fender badge to make sure my homemade badge is on the mark... if anyone has one they'd like to donate to the project, I'd be glad to discount a set of either style led badge plates for you.

The v2.0 led plate is about 1/8" larger on all sides so it shouldn't have any issues fitting on the fenders.

Now that I think about it, I think I've seen a few trucks with an 06 fender badge on the tailgate... I could certainly make one of these in RED so you could connect it into your tail lights for a little "rear end" color accent too

I'm also looking for ORANGE led's for those of you who'd prefer a little darker/richer color than the yellow.

have you tried to buff out the scratch marks where you beveled it to see what it looks like?

Yea, at first I thought the clear ends would show the light better, but it completely removed all the light coming from the ends. I spent an entire day sanding to 800g & buffing them to a clear finish for nothing. :(

The sanded (frosted) edges are what makes the light diffuse & look pretty even.

The close-up pics make the sanding marks look huge, but they're very tiny 220g - 400g marks.

those look great Terry, wonder how the orange leds would look on the chrome yellow truck?
