Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and have been a FMC enthusiast & technician for many years but I do a question which I hope someone has been there already and knows.

Are the Catalytic Converter studs that connect to the crossover pipe flange on a dual cat in series Ranger 3.0 splined & pressed in or are they threaded?

Thanks for any help in advance.

i do beleave they are threaded. i just cut mine off back in oct and im sure the part of the bolt that fell had threads on it

i replaced the flang and put ne studs in. is what i did on my manifold cuz i had the same problem was i took them to a guy down the road and hew blew them out with a torch then put new bolts and nuts on it.

Cat Studs

Update: The '93 Ranger 3.0 Cat studs are splined & pressed in. I heated the flange with a acetylene torch to red hot and they popped right out with a automotive hammer.

I appreciate your help "Captured Time".
