Draining and refilling the power steering reservoir is described in the Chilton manual as part of the steering rack change-out procedure for my 98 Ranger. In considering doing the change-out myself, my concern is of the bleeding of the air in the system afterwards. The easy (professional way) described is to use a vacuum pump. Problem is I don't have one and can't really afford to just run out and buy one. Is there a reliable alternative method to do so without the use of a vacuum pump? I came across this online and was wondering if it would work as well: http://www.mademan.com/mm/how-bleed-power-steering.html Comments/advice? thanks
