I started my 99 Ranger single cab 4.0 4x4 automatic and it wont budge in any gear. When I put it in drive, it lurches forward a few inches then stops like it hit a rock. It does budge in neutral even when being pushed. I waited until the truck was up to temp, ran it through all gears leaving it in each one for a few moments andstill nothing. Any advice?

it wont move even in neutral? if so you have the brakes locking/something in a differential holding it, or something in the t case. Try jacking up the rear axle and seeing if the wheels will spin
