11 years ago 2,996 people where killed. 403 policeman, firemen, and port authority officers were killed trying to save the lives of others. today in school in honor of the victims of the terrorist attacks they played a thirty second clip of pictures from that day but no talking or anything. at the start a girl in my class said "is this necessary" i responded by saying "what!" then was quiet in respect to the victims. im disgraced that someone would say that.

honestly my personal feeling is that we dont need to "celebrate" this every year. yes i feel bad for all the lives lost because of it but the way i see it "celebrating" it every year like we have done for the past 11 years brings back the emotions of the ones that were lost on that day. to me it seems like the families cant "move on" because everytime they get over their greef of losing their loved ones it's time to "celebrate" the event again. i am in no way saying we should ever forget the tragedy that happened 11 yrs ago because if we do we are destined to have it repeated i just really dont get the point of "celebrating" it every year.

i dont think we should ever just move on, it was more than the victims that died that day, heroes such as police officers and firefighters too. I want to celebrate heroes.

I will never forget that day, but with Klinger I see where he is coming from, at least now the living knows Osama Bin Laden is dead . That will give some closure to them.

but it is like opening up the wound all over again.

I wont forget it, I'm sure everyone who saw never will. I myself feel that yes, it is time to move on, but not to forget.

Its hard to watch the footage tonight, brings back the memory of that day.
We should never forget but I couldn't imagine how the survivors or families feel.

i will never forget the day even though i dont remember it that well since i was young. this day always reminds me of my uncle. he was on the 72nd floor of the 2nd tower that got hit. he was one of the view lucky ones that made it out. but it destroyed him psychology. he became an alcholic, divorced my aunt, and havent seen him since.

Trama can do a lot of **** to people, sorry to hear that about your uncle.

And there is still a "SANDBOX" that our military personnel are ordered to be in, and we AREN'T PEPPERIN THAT JOINT DAILY.....WHY NOT???

And now Lybia pops up again, guess they know we don't have a Ronnie in office anymore.

We need to be "Boom, boom, shake the room" on these countries that think we/our people are targets......

I'm could go on & on, but not gonna jack the post anymore.

We need to remember 9/11, just as we remember 12/7!

I am sure some on here have no idea what 12/7 means

Pearl Harbor for the onesthat dont know 12/7/41
