no u have to take the dash out to do it. that was the first time i took my dash out so i had no idea how long it would take me to get that out. that was most of the job there. now i can get the entire dash out in less than an hour. good luck getting a shop to do it. most shops i know wont...

oh how fun they are to do.:rolleyes: you literally have to take the whole dash out. there is no other simpler way to do it. i did mine in my 95 Ranger and it took me all weekend long because i had no idea what i was in for. its easy but its REALLY time consuming...

welcome Bob. i would think that 2003 4.0L parts would fit on a 2004 4.0L with no problem. same engine...

any tail lights from 93-09 Ranger will work on your truck unless you have the Mazda bed

if it does it again, it could be your speed sensor going bad. they are like $20 from Auto Zone or Advanced Auto. its located on the passenger side of the transmission underneath your truck

its the infamous Ranger lean. they all do that. one thing that causes it is the gas tank because it sits on the drivers side and adds quite a bit of weight when full which can cause that side to lean down lower after a bit of time because of the weight.
