dude where is that at? my truck took me to school and got 18.8mpg on the fill up today :-( normally I hit 20+

thats always fun too. trust me when I say you'll be far away from civilization on the trails we go down, you're a good 10-15 miles away from any type of building. oh and on top of roger's trough there's a huge overlook camping ground that lets you see the whole valley. I gotta say its pretty sweet

vegas?.... nice:thumbsup: yeah most of us are the same, nothing extreme (except one guy can get a little crazy with his) most of us have leveled trucks with ATs and 4x4s (a couple are even 4x2s) but all of ours (if I'm not mistaken) are DDs so we're not to crazy, mostly trails like roger's...

ha! no way man this is just my DD for a while because it gets 20 mpg compared to my f150s max of 17

welcome man!!! another fellow az man! do you 4x4 a lot? some of the guys from az on the f150forum.com site are getting a meet together sometime in march or april. you down?

if you order from k&n instructions usually come with it, its a fairly simple process anyway. also you should be able to download instructions off their website if you have the model number

just so you know the 4x4 rangers get crappy mileage. as for what to get, i'd go with an 02 or newer

sorry to revive a dead thread, but I would like to say that the 3.0 with the 5speed and 2wd is a beast. I get 20MPG in it, the thing I think that is the problem for you is that the truck you're driving has a 4x4 system and for the ranger's and mazda's systems it tanks the MPGs
