Sounds! What kind of system do you have??

Update: I switched the jvc head for a fancy pioneer, and switched the type r 12 to a type r15

    size really does matter

Its been a while since I've logged in, and very few things have changed. I did however upgrade from a 12 inch Alpine Type R, to a Type R 15. Man what a huge difference. Same phenomenal quality that has come to be expected from Alpine, but the change in the SPL spectrum is what truthfully shocked...

    stupid cruise control buttons!

Has anyone came up with a cover up that looks good. My cruise control buttons have rotten out just like every other ranger. I don't want to order new ones for fear of the same same thing happening. Every ranger or expo I see at the junk yard has the same issue. Any suggestions

    speaker baffles

I took some foam can cut it to fit around the back of my speakers. that actually helps reduce a little door noise if you have bass heavy mids like my infinities.

    multiple amps, multiple questions

I love my local junk yard, I find all sorts of stuff. My brother in law found two alpine type S 3 way 6x9s for dirt cheap

Sounds! What kind of system do you have??

One type R 12 in a 2cu ft. ported box inverted on the top (so the magnet sticks out, for those who don't know), powered by a 600 watt old school Infinity kapa 202A model. EQ run inline, Rather plain jvc head with Infinity 6x8s up front, jbl gto's in the back. Tweeters flushed in the trim that...

    multiple amps, multiple questions

Hey sorry I didn't get back to you soon enough, I never did anything concerning the amp(s). I did however upgrade my door speakers to a very nice pair of infinity refs, retail was like $145, junk yard retail, $8. SCORE! I don't want to run multiple amps off of my stock alt. I'd rather wait til...

Has anyone here ever built a labyrinth style box? I've got two days off from work coming up soon, and have no idea on how to build one. Need some help quick!

    labyrinth box style help

I have a single Alpine type R, currently in a ported box that's roughly 2 cubic foot. I have a spare sealed box that measures 3.09 cubic foot of air space, I'm debating doing a labyrinth port. is this box too big? If not, how do I make a labyrinth style. Never made one before

Is the full length console a PITA to put in? What mods are required to put it in

update, and I need more ideas.

Thanks, certainly a lot to think about concerning the seats, I cut my old 60/40 down with a sawzall, and stitched it up, looked real nice. And I think I just like the look of the full length. And as for the cb, id just mount it to my amp rack in the back of my ext.cab. Ill check out rockauto...

update, and I need more ideas.

So lately I have been a little busy, but I have installed a black mustang dome, installed new speakers in the doors, replaced my jbl gto 5x7s with infinity ref 6x8s. I acquired a 60 40 black seat set from an 03 ranger edge. How ever they didn't come with a flip down console. Should I reuphoster...

how to remove 60/40 center console

To remove the console from the brackets there is a torques bolt under the plastic trim piece that covers the brackets. To remove the brackets that hold the console, you must remove the seat from the truck, under the seat there are 3 bolts, 10mm I believe. out should slide right out once you move...

    amp recommendations

Not really. The look at the specs if the sub and amp, RMS frequency capability etc, other than that, read customer reviews.

    multiple amps, multiple questions

Well my sub amp has two 40a fuses. It actually had two sets of power and ground connectors. I just haven't found another power port for it, as they are removable. So actually id have to run 0ga wire, with two 4ga and one 8 gauge coming out. My amp is sort of a dinosaur. But a beastly one. I...
