    Shifting issues

You don't have to be a smartass. I wasn't trying to insult anyone. The clutch is not the transmission, and we know you cannot bleed the transmission. I was making sure the original poster was aware of that, as we were talking about both the trans fluid level and the master cylinder level.

    1996 4cyl. w/ stubborn AC problem

The ranger ac's are notorious for problems. The compressor itself fails a lot, and causes what I've heard called black death, spitting trash and pieces of itself into the system when it fails. My compressor clutch failed and locked up on my 2.3. I'm not sure how easy it would be to change out...

You sound very...unsure of how your truck operates, so I would be careful working on it. But no, there is no way to bleed your transmission. I suggest you get a haynes manual for your truck.

I guess I'll be looking into getting a cat. I ordered the headers and Y two days ago, so I hope I like them too. I havent gotten them in yet. I plan on plugging the egr since the engine I bought doesnt have one on it, and I don't have that wiring either. I want to run a flowmaster after the cat...

what is a cheap way to get more power

On my 94, we ran an electric fan, a jetchip, custom intake piping, custom high flow exhaust from manifold back, ac compressor bypass, and a lower temp thermostat, and I'd say the increases were noticeable but not by much, and probably cost around 500 all said and done. When everyone says theres...

    ignition module

The dual ignition on my 94 was on the drivers side, it was a while ago when I replaced it, but I believe it was rearward of the power steering pump, down mounted to a bracket off the intake manifold.

    Shifting issues

Sounds like the synchros to me. The transmissions in these trucks use auto trans fluid, due to the synchros. My truck ran with gear oil for a while and ruined the synchros. Mine would have a hard time going into first, 2nd, and reverse. You had to almost force it near the end, and sometimes shut...

New member with some header/exhaust ?'s

Hello all, this is my first post. I was a frequent visitor on the f150forum.net site, but have since sold my 150. I have a 94 Ranger project that was originally my father's. He handed it down to me, I eventually handed it down to my brother, and after he blew the motor and trashed the...
