What I have experienced with these pumps is the rubber hose that is down in the tank on the pump assembly starts to deteriorate and starts out with a small hole that eventually grows thus pumping the fuel right back to the tank and low pressures to the fuel rail. Had it happen 4 times on the 98...

One thing I did not see mentioned for you mpg's is to check your tire pressure if it is high or low it will effect your mileage a lot especially if the pressure is off by more than 3lbs.

I was wondering out of those of us that have done the SAS and bigger tires w/ a lift how did it affect your gas mileage? On mine I was averaging between 18-23 before all the work and now I am getting maybe 10-11. That is with the 4.0, 5spd, D44 & 9" w/ 4:88s , 35s, and about 12"s of total lift...

Yesterday on the trail 1st time since doing the SAS and 9" install.

In the attached picture look at the parts in the RED circle it show the shackle and shackle mount. The mount is the part the bolts to the frame and the shackle goes between the mount and spring. Usually the spring eye bolt is so rusty inside that it is a major PITA to get the bolt out.
