I'm putting a 4.0l from. 1997 ranger in a 1998 ranger. What does this consist of as far as plug n play? What will I need from 97 ranger to make it work in the 98? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't know the answer to this, but if it were me, I'd take every bit of wiring from the engine compartment of the donor truck. Wiring is MY nemesis!
    Good luck!

Pretty much everything are the same. Although, emission stuffs maybe added to the newer motor. Why going with older engine?
