    Hey Guys,

Looking to get my M Class license to ride motorcycles this month and Might sell the Miata and buy a bike, so I was considering either the Honda rebel 250, the Suzuki S40 or the Yamaha Vstar 250.

My first choice on paper is the Vstar for its styling Vtwin engine (the others offer single Cylinder engines) and for its factory exhaust note (again due to the Vtwin design)

I know most of you who ride bikes might suggest bigger bikes like 500 ccs but I really want to start small and nimble on bikes that can achieve about 70-85 MPH and get great MPG.

    Any thoughts?

I'm leaning towards the Yamaha as well.

I will also be purchasing a bike in the next few months (as soon as the truck is paid off)

the reviews are very positive on the yamaha I love the V twin design. I also love the styling and the exhaust note (much better then the raspy one cylinder sound lol) plus they have tons of mods for the vstar (even exhausts which sound almost Harley like IMO). What size yamaha are you looking at? the 250?

My fiance just purchased a '13 Honda CBR250A (ABS) for almost 1,000 off sticker :).. I plan to go see the yamaha on tuesday as well as the suzuki S40 (used one at a dealer for $3,200. If you want I can post my intial thoughts?

I sat on a triumph bonneville (the most beautiful bike IMO) and was disappointed in the ride position. my leg would naturally want to brush up against the exhaust which turned me away from that bike :p

Yes, I am also looking at a 250cc. Basically a "starter" bike.

I know that later on I will want something bigger. I plan on going slow with my motorcycle purchases.
