There are still some odds and ends issues. First of which is my dip stick fell out on a test drive so I gotta get a new one of those, Secondly the trans is acting weird. So I will deal with that at some point

Haha, is there any more 302's at Novey's?
Also, while on the subject, can you keep an eye out for a drivers door bezel that has the power windows, locks, and mirrors.

there are a few 302s but the expo motor took a weird special one due to the pan. None of those up there

Wernt you gonna get that one off hooligan(clinton)????

I am in the market for a set myself so I will see what I can come up with

Oh.. guess you're gonna have to look around then..

I am going to, unless I can find just the drivers one for cheap, then he can still sell them whole as a set with buttons and everything..

I saw you drive by my work this morning! That sounds bad ass and makes me want to have you do the 5.0 to my truck..

Just that thrush glasspack for muffler?

Also I'm sure you noticed by now but you had (what looked to be) a section of your wiring harness hanging down. I assume it was your tranny wiring harness

lol thats just open secondary pipes, no muffler or anything. The piece hanging down is just an 02 sensor wire I am not using. I wont be driving it to much after todays trip. It needs a few odds and ends such as a cam sync sensor and I am thinking new solenoids in the transmission. Although I am wondering if the trans just isnt going to work right being a different year than the motor/computer

Thanks. Its got a rumble to it for sure, But sadly I will have to quiet it down some to be legal.

I am going to step up my muffler selection when the time comes. I want a fox body rumble to it. Not a rotted out F150 noise

Rewired my trans harness. I have a 2000 trans with a 97 harness. major wiring changes. Surprised I didnt burn up the trans. But I got it sorted out and its a beast! oh dear god why didnt I do this a long time ago. I have some other issues to sort out. The ac pump clutch locked up and over heated thus cooking the belt so tomorrow I need a new belt. Then its just keep driving it and see what else happens

The 97 Ex A/C wiring and control logic is upside down and backwards compared to that of the 98 Ranger. That might be causing or contributing to your problems.

Well I don't use/run/or even have a/c if I can delete it so I will just disable it all for now

Well right now its pissing me off. I have all the 02 sensor codes, and a cam position sensor code. So idk what I wanna do with it right now. It has a bank 1 lean code also. I dont even know where to really start

Just to update this. Dont ever do this with a junk yard motor. To be honest id buy a whole explorer. Drive the damn thing for 6 months so everything that would break could break. Fix it in its natural platform. Then when life is all good swap it over. Cause I have to have 3 different vehicles registered at autozone for parts lol. 98 ranger, 97 mountaineer, 2000 explorer. its kind of annoying.
