Well this weekend like any other in the summer I was on the beach . I didn't air down because me and my buddy wer maybe 100 yards from the entrance . So I put it and 4low and putted over there .. But when I went to pull up into the " soup sand" I head a loud BANG! And the truck jerked .. I stopped got out thinking I busted a u joint or somthing but ... Nothing .. Got back in pulled up ( still in 4low ) and everything worked .. I drove off and it seams every time I put stress I hear and feel this loud bang and clunk.. In 2wd it's fine .. As is 4hi.. Any one got a clue?

Did you check the transfer case for any cracks or anything? Also where is the noise coming from?

Sounds like the front axel to be honest , I was thinking maybe it's that ****ty superlift shaft or maybe a stripped somthing in the t case.. And it's not leaking at all..

I know when my front CV went, it banged like a MF'r when it snapped in half. But it made a bad noise no matter what I was in when I drove it. Did you check the CV's for play in them?

Sounds like you blew some teeth on your spider gears in the front axle or ground some teeth off in the transfer case. I'd take that front shaft off and pull the CV axles and see if you can hear any noises coming from inside the front diff.
