Scratch X is for plastics such as headlights, to get the scratches out of painted surfaces, use Meguiars Ultimate compound and a buffer, that should do the job

Cool, I use the Craftsman orbital buffer with a 7" pad. They run around 50.00 and they are awesome!

I've used it and it work's good. I would use the compound 1st then go to the scratch X 2.0 http://www.autogeek.net/megscratxfin.html

I think you are getting the plastX and the scratchX mixed up

i got the paint kit today i went to work on my truck. it took me about 2 hours to wash, clay, compound, scratch x on parts that needed it, then wax the entire truck. im not pleased with the results. my hood still has a bunch of swirls on it. i think i might use the klasse stuff next time.
