Anyone know how to take the hubs apart. My problem is getting the black cover off I tried using a screwdriver I help pry but I really don't want to break it. And how hard is it to put back together? I'm just taking the silver T shaped metal clip out some of you may know what it does like I do.

Use a small chisel or flathead screwdriver and tap it w/ a hammer around the lip of the cap. Should pop right off.

take the metal clip out so I have a functional front end that way i can use 4wd 10/10 times instead of .5/10

You should do the manual hub swap. I did the swap and I love it! You can leave them unlocked and put your t case in 4lo and it will lock the rear so you have 2wd low range. It's great for popping high curbs or pulling a boat up a boat ramp. You can get a set of hubs for $160ish if I remember correctly.
