yup drilled them right into the chrome stock bumper. thats where they stay till next month or two when the new bumper is installed
custom one lol a mix between the one brinker and mamba have but with a tube bumper look as well like a hybrid
oh gotcha. can't wait to see that it sounds interesting. i like the tube bumper look when its done right. when are you getting that?
4 lights are winning! Except 55w aren't and wicked paintjob on the bumper, brah! 4 150w bumper lights FTW. All friendly pokes aside, she's looking alot better man.
pain in my ass 2 lights are working and two are not bumper was a cheap fix to hide the dumb chrome. hoping to have the winch one on soon as possible. and also hoping to add 5000k or 6000k hids into these hellas
IDK about him but for me... Two lamps per circuit, 12GA wiring(KC supplies 16GA!?), 30a relays, fused power wires, 16GA to the switches in the cab in a super duper secret location that not any one else has thought up. ;-)) You've rocked a painted bumper for as long as I can remember..... prep was lacking. Apparently I prepped too much when I painted mine like 5 years ago.....'cause I almost wasn't able to strip it all off to bring the chrome back!! lol. Can't wait to see the new bumper you've been talking about in this thread. I was planning on HID's in my KC's.....but am not doing it anymore now that I've finally rewired and reinstalled my 4. With the projectors, I don't see the need to convert the KC's with the questionable results in performance.
actually i only had the painted bumper for maybe a year this month or next month. and ya i wasnt to into it i sanded the phrome of and painted and one did one coat. i knew i wouldnt be keeping it so i didnt waste my money or time. and i have all the same stuff u said u do in the wiring all but the secret location lol
Isn't that COOOOOL ! Depending on the total wattage being hooked up, the wire gauge can change. 10 amps or less can get away with 16 ga wire 15 amps or less can do 14 20 amps or less equates to 12 ga wire And 30 amps you need 10 ga. OR be on the safe side and run 10 ga for all aux lighting... Lol. If you are running 150w lamps x2, draws 25 amps, then 10 ga power wire is needed. Two power wire for four lights, two relays (40 amp) would be better. If these are 55 watts each the 14 or the heavier 12 ga wire will do for power. I run 16 ga for the relay sw, but I have a lot left over from other projects but you can run 18 or 20 ga wire to trip the relays. Make sure to fuse the power wires for total current draw but keep in mind the lowest rated part in the circuit. Luck, wiring is the best part of modifying the truck.
