Itsa a built 302, and its the original trans, just built with hardend gears. I wanted it to look as original as possible. Dyoned at 368whp a while back.
Not sure on the tq numbers, she hasnt been on a dyno in about 7 years, but it went 11.7 at milan drag way on the original tires 5 years ago. Guessing it to be a mid 11 car
there are a lot of parts that are the same, but there were less that 1000 GS's built with the 5.0L between '84-'86. and less than 150 of those were black, so this is a pretty special car to me. most of the capri's you see now have been wrecked and rebuilt with mustang parts, or the owners dont like the bubble back rear glass and replace it with the mustang hatches, which to me ruins the car. i have all of the spare parts to rebuild it if anything were to ever happen, each quarter pannel, spare hood, spare hatch, an entire front clip, and a passanger door
I have an 84 Capri RS and an 85 Capri GS 5.0. Both are black. The 85 has about 30,000 miles and the only mods are Hurst shifter, aftermarket shorty headers, and Mustang SVO leather seating. I am the third owner. The 84 has a 306, FMS B303 Cam, tweaked Holley 4160 carb, Edelbrock intake, dual exhaust, 10" front brakes with Lincoln MC and 70 mm calipers, 16" Centerline wheels, some Autometer gauges, Hurst shifter, Maximum Motorsports Caster Camber plates, It is a T-Top car. Has about 50K miles, bought new.
look allmost like the one that sits here on 5 mile road except it has pony wheels gotta set if u wont some for this
