As some of you may know, I'm supposed to be getting my brand new Jeep this week. I had originally ordered it with a hard top, after multiple tries from the dealership, they could only find the Jeep that I wanted with a soft top. So my request of you guys is that out on your travels, if you come across a hard top from a '07-'12 JK Wrangler 2 Door, let me know. I priced them brand new from Jeep and theyre $2,600... yeah, **** that... even if its a state or 2 away, it will still be cheaper then me actually buying one. Thank you guys

Ill keep my eye out for ya. Any reason why you went with the 2 door vs the 4 door? I figured beens you already have a ranger that really only lets you use 2 doors for anything, that you woulda went with the 4 door.
If you "ordered" it, doesn't the build order get submitted to Chrysler for assembly.....you know like Burger King, built to order?? Sounds like you just told a dealer what you wanted and they looked around for a dealer trade to get as close to what you want as possible.
x2 first it sounded like your ordered it to be built, then second seemed like you just had the dealers searching the databases for one that matches what you want. Id tell them straight up, especially if I was having it built that id walk over it. If they are just searching the databases id still tell them thats what I want, so to find me one or ill take my money else where. Im sure magically they will "find" one or have one put on for real cheap over losing a 30 or 40k sell.
Basically that's what's going on. The dealer told me that the factory isn't accepting orders? I dunno... That's just what they said
damn well like I said, id tell the dealer straight up. Looks its not my fault your not taking orders, im sitting here spending alot of money on a new jeep, find me what I want or I take my money else where. I bet they magically find one.
Aren't accepting orders for the 2012 model year? Already? Damn. My ex ordered her '08 in about June '07 and received the truck in August '07. Just sayin', the dealer is playin' with you for a sale with what they can get NOW. NOT what specifically what YOU want. Little do they seem to know, their cut goes up with you ordering a vehicle from the factory 'cause you'll be paying more for it. PS: go for the 4dr and the Pentastar. You won't regret it. I know I'd regret a 2dr.
They all come standard with the pentastar. They said that the factory is at full capacity already, I dunno for sure though.
