Thanks man.. I posted a video of it running on Youtube, hopefully this link works: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3L9Hq4ZlLk[/ame] Previous owner said he had new fuel injectors put in, new spark plugs, new wires, and it still ran like crap. Was told it was a bad cylinder/Piston, or something. I have been told to check the timing, the cam synchronize, check for vac hose leaks, check to make sure the plug wires are in the right spot, etc.. I have checked the plug wires, but none of the other stuff yet. Going to be a spring/summer project. I would like to get this running for a winter beater, and maybe put a plow on it? lol.
Yeah I wish. If I ever had the money and time for a 302 swap I would do it to my nice 99 ranger. This white 98 has some body damage and other issues, not really worth putting a 302 in. But if I get it running, then I have a spate truck to use, so i would be able to still have a vehicle if i tore my 99 apart to put a 302 in it. Lol.
nice project man! is that like a rod knockin? lol seems like all the 3.0s ive seen that gen. eventually have head/headgasket problems. maybe that could be some of it??
