Advantages and disadvantages?

    what are the advantages of having no sway bars and what are the disadvantages of no sway bars? are they hard to take off?

  3. I never tinkered with mine, but advantages are it will have a ton more flex off road, and that it will seem to have a smoother ride to it. Disadvantages are that the truck will have a tendency to wash out around corners, and body roll will be ridiculous.

    Advantages:
    better ride on/ off road
    better flex, suspension is allowed to work more

    Disadvantages:
    more body roll (not alot more)

    I wish I had ditched mine years ago.

    I love my truck w/out sway bars. It's amazing how much softer the ride is and the flex is WAAAY better

    Well, imo, for a 2wd with coils, dont **** with it, holy hell was the body roll horrid!

    Ive had mine off for a couple years now and I dont think the body roll is bad at all and Im on 7" of lift. I dont need to take turns at 50 MPH anyways. lol After having them off I could never go back to having them on again.

    Just take one end off and drive around to see how you like it, if you don't like it just put the end back on.

    Real easy to make them up for third gens. What I did was use wing nuts instead of the standard nuts on the end links and anti seized the hell outa them

    Now on 98+ I dont think you could make it work.
