2001 XLT with side step...looking for metal tool box for bed (46"). Does anyone know where to get one? Or how it is listed...by size/in? Got small one from TSC and it is 3 in. too long! went to a pick up place...theirs was $400. The closest to $100 the better. C'mon Ranger Fans...help me out!

They are tough to find, I know cause I have the same bed. Your best bet is measure the bed, then go to TSC and find one with the same dimensions. Unfortunately when you search for them, they dont really show specific ones that fit our trucks. I lucked out and found a used one, but I am sure you will find one once you get the measurements.

TSC can also order parts too.
When I wanted my gull wing tool box, they didn't have any but they were able to order one & a week later it was there.
You have to find the right person to talk to though, some of them don't know their butt from a hole in the ground, but the guy I got was really helpful, he even said he could get it in black instead of bright aluminum.

If you have any metal recycling places nearby, give them a look too. My uncle bought 4 or 5 random aluminum truck boxes for as little as $10 each. They had a few scrapes & dings, but he cut 'em up for the diamond plate to put on a car hauler he was building.
