Im getting ready to do a sas on my 93 ranger. i was wondering if the (hp Dana 30) will fit or do i have to just use the (dana 30). thanks

D 35 is a rear axle bro lol.

D30 HP will work but why go with a lighter duty axle than what;s in it now?

Just go with a D44 and be done with it. You'll have a LOT less problems down the road. No hub assemblys to deal with, etc.

Uh...no? Go with a Dana 44 wagoneer axle (make sure they do NOT have vacuum hubs) or a D44 from an Early bronco. Either way dude, search around, I have covered this topic before.

Oh and FYI, Dana 30 HP first appeared in the Jeep Wrangler TJ models. They're the same width as a ranger axle ( to a certain extent ) You will need to cut all the mounting hardware off and weld new on ( coil mounts OR leaf spring perches )

The D30 is an "ok" axle if you put truss it, I know a guy running 37's on it with locker and 4.88's and does great (don't get vacuum disco axle if you go that route) and the D30 is almost bolt in (good thread on trs). But if you can go D44 go that route for sure, they can be found in the early bronco which is pretty much our width, the wagoneer as said, and the wranger rubicon. If you SAS your truck would be cool of you to make a build thread so we can start having build threads here :) good luck.

Yeah ill do a build thread on it. Im still doing some research on what axle i dont plan on running anything bigger than 36's. Iv also been thinking about full size in the front and rear i like that look as well.

If you can, find a Dana 60-2 from a J20 Jeep. Its a 5 lug D60. For the rear, just do a Narrowed 9"
