more then likely, but i wheel with a guy on 33's with a detroit in his front and he's never snapped one.

prolly because it knows when to lock/unlock...its not constantly locked

  6. Nope, but I've gone through the auto hubs on my truck like a mother lol. Hope you figure it out man. Best of luck

yeah, x2 on the welded diff. The difference in wheel speed while turning will do this. the axle shaft is spinning at one speed, then the wheel is faster/slower. Since the hub is locking the axle to the lugs, it will blow out the center of the hub.

  9. You know what I meant lol It don't help that my diff blew out either. lol

but it does make for AWESOME traction. goes up almost anything in local trails.

  11. And guys say I go hard.... Hahaha. Take a look boys! xD I could only think of the diff being welded to cause this... Not sure how or why, but that's the only thing you changed on it, so it must be.

yeah, but at replacing hubs everytime? a locker is the way to go. I have one in the front diff on my truck, its awesome, unlocks when turning

  13. I'm definitely gonna go lockers after the superlift. A buddy has em in all his toys and they have gotten him out of everything.

then y would a 35 with a detroit survive? its locked whenever its under load, and running larger tires.

  15. I'm sure it could. It handles 38s lol

hubs are easy to change. i just carry a spare.

    Ill tell you why :p

say your turning left. The axle shaft is going to spin at the speed of the outer tire. (spinning faster). So since the axle is welded, the left side axle is turning at the same rate as the right tire/axle. The left tire is turning much slower than the axle/tire on the right. This speed difference casues the hub to blow apart. The reason the hub is breaking the way it is, is beacuse it locks the axle to the lugs. The hub center is the weakest part.

different than welding. If your just off-road, youd be alright (loose ground) but driving to/from, your on concrete. I bet the hubs only explode when your turning?

hubs only get locked for snow/offroad. they've only broken while im offroad.
