What specifically are the differences between 2010 and 2011 4.0 sohc?

I have found some nice stainless headers for a 2010 4.0 sohc. I contacted the manufacturer and inquired if they would fit my 2011 model. He told me that no, they would not work on the 2011 model but couldn't tell me why. Many manufacturers list 2010 applications but no 2011. What gives?

I can't speak for aftermarket, but RockAuto.com lists the OEM exhaust manifold kits (manifold, studs and gaskets) the same for both 2010 & 2011.

That's good information. Thanks. The following examples have been my concern...:

Package Included:
1 x Set of Header Exhaust System
Compatible with:
Ford Ranger 4.0L Cologne SOHC V6 (1998-2009)
Ford Explorer UN150/ U152/ U251 4.0L Cologne SOHC V6 (1998-2009)
Mazda B4000 4.0L Cologne SOHC V6 (1998-2010)
No 2011??

and

"Unfortunately, that would not work for your year model. The above link is all that we carry for your ranger, but nothing for 2011."

Thanks for the help

As far as bolting up to the engine, that is the same all the way to 2011. The only thing that would make sense would be a difference in the frame or some obstacle on the 2011 that isn't there on the 2010. But still, that doesn't wash as the factory manifolds are the same. I know headers are expensive, but if I were in your shoes, I would go for it. So much mis-information about the end days of the Ranger. I see things all the time referring to the "Ford Ranger 1998 - 2012". There was NO 2012 model, so maybe this is just more of that mis-information.

Just talked to a local exhaust shop in Lynnwood, Washington that was recommended to me to install the headers and a cat-back
exhaust system. I was quoted 6hrs labor (at $100/hr!). That does not include the headers or the cat-back system. That
certainly helped my make my decision to forgo the whole thing. Any gains (research tells me the factory manifolds are fairly
efficient) are far-offset by the expense. Too bad I know how to count.
