Can 2 inches of lift be done by adjusting the tortion bar bolt ?

I want to put a winch on ,so when that is done it would drop down alittle .
I also heard if I put the bars from a v8 explorer in that might give me more support . A friend used a 2wheel drive explorer chassis with a V8 to go under a 46 ford pickup ,He put in torsion bars from a V6 ex and it lowered it .

Sounds like a good plan the winch dropping things but the EX Bar I do not know about but that too sounds like a good idea, check it out.

I converted to Coil Over Setup and got rid of the T-Bars, got heavier springs so a future winch could be attached. I am heading to desert country so the winch idea might be over-kill.

Good Luck on the hunt and post what you find out.

FYI it is torsion.

What you would want to look for is #1 bars. Look on your door jam to find out what you have now. You could already have them or you could have B's or the softest which I think were F's. I don't remember for sure

My o2 ranger has F bars , so the letter scale goes B hard up to F soft , that sounds backwords . I did check out the bars that were put in the ex-hot rod and they are from a V6 ex and have a B on them and are a smaller bar than the F .

There are 3 different ones for the ranger
1's stiffest
B's
F's softest

I used to have the part number but that was long ago. They were like $80-$100 bucks a piece for new ones
