I have a chance to pick a m90 supercharger with everything needed to hook it up from another member on another forum.

So my question to the public:

Should I buy it?

or

Should I not buy it and use that money for other upgrades to the engine and truck?

If you select the second option, please include some suggestions on what else to buy.

Use the money for other items that are more useful to you

hmmm how much would said supercharger hurt fuel econo? ( I know its a 4L an doesnt get good MPGs anyways, but it something to consider) but if you dont care then go for it :)

The guy said he didn't really notice a difference between having it and not having it so idk what to expect really. I'm more weary of the deal now because when I asked him for a vid of it running, he said he couldn't because he doesn't want to start the truck since his exhaust was off (even though he says it's his DD). So not sure on it now. I really would love to have it, but after talking with a few more people about it, I don't think it'll be worth it in the long run.

take the money you would have spend on the supercharger and regear (4.10 or 4.56). Problem solved :)

Already have 4.10s in the garage lol. Just waiting to put them in. After talking with Brinker, think I'm going to go for a less aggressive route and use that money for other engine upgrades that probably need done before too long anyway. But, the charger is still on the table.

5.0L coyote engine ;)

The super charger sounds like you'll be opening a can of worms. Use the money for a 5.0 or a turbo 2.3 from an old thunderbird

Iv read about them Supercharged 4.0s. Its actually one reason why I got a Ranger lol. I spoke to RP Caster and he says it doesnt hurt mpg. Mayb 1 mpg if you can keep your foot outta it. But you gotta professionally tune it and Id suggest bigger injectors to get the most outta it. Itd prolly be quite expensive IMO
