I have a 2000 Ranger xlt manual and to start ur I have to have the key turned clutch down but it won’t start unless I turn the headlight switch on Anybody heard of this issue

Shouldn't have to turn on the headlight on. That just drains more amperage from the battery. I would check the battery terminals, making sure it is clean and tight and the starter is at top condition.
