this is exactly what i am pondering... i have a 2000 ranger 4x4 raised 3 in with 30 in tires, it has about 140k and still rockin the original shocks, after looking around i thought that all i seen were cheap shocks, this is my first ranger or ford for that matter and i havnt a clue on which brands are good and which are crap. id like to get a medium/heavy duty shocks that last a really long time cause im gonna run this ranger till 300k miles. any suggestions shall be very much appriciated thanks.

You can try billstein, skyjackers stuff like that. Check what would fit your truck on ebay, look for the shocks that say 0-3 inch lift and go from there. You can still use a standard shocks that are the same as stock but I recommend billstein
