IAC=idle air control valve I'm not really sure where it would be located on your model I know on mine it's on the back of the intake.
even when iam driving would it cause it to wanna stall out and would that cause the service light to come on cause i have no check engine light on at all
i have a 2003 and i had the same kinda things happening i took it off cleaned it with carb cleaner and put it back on and runs alot better now. i also put a new fuel filter on and it runs like new now.
When I had to clean mine the check engine light didn't come on. I know it controls the idle but I'm not really sure if it will cause it to try to stall while driving.
the fuel filter was replaced at the same time we did the fuel pump the booster pump and the injectors
ya thats the problem when iam driving it wants to stall out but if iam in nuetral the idle is rough when u go to just rev it up
idk where ur getting the stalling from but if it was really worn out or full of alot of carbon from the engine i can see it stalling it out. when unpluged it makes the engine die
hmmmm a lot of the more knowing members are not on right now. i would wait till one of them get a chance to post in ur thread.
Sounds like a clogged cat. In hook your cat from the y-pip and see if that clears up the problem. If it does....time for straight pipe! Unless you have emissions testing in which I feel sorry for you Beamed in from the Death Star with lasers and sh*t
You have a dizzy correct? Timing could be out also Beamed in from the Death Star with lasers and sh*t
Auto or manual? Could be a torque converter problem if auto.... Beamed in from the Death Star with lasers and sh*t
I would replace the iacv first or atleast clean it. I reccomend replacing it as its not to expensive and it made our 2.3 run like new Beamed in from the Death Star with lasers and sh*t
well i know its not the timing cause when i had the fuel injectors replaced the mechanic checked my timing and it was all good. could my fuel regulator be bad? iam take the cat out and run straight pipe and see if that will help my problem. just wanna see wut the idea on the fuel regulators is
